Scopius Arch is located in a remote section of the Mojave Desert in California. The location took a little detective work to locate as it is not called out on any maps I am aware of. I used Google Earth to find the approximate location and then scouting during the day time to find the arch. This image was shot looking south east at around 2:30 AM with the rising Milky Way visible over the arch. The exposure time was 30 seconds to allow for the capture of the Milky Way.
